- President of China Xi Jinping held talks with Akufo-Addo at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Saturday
- The Chinese police band surprised Ghana's president with a rendition of his favourite 'Oye' song
President Akufo-Addo was given a taste of indigenous Ghanaian gospel music on his latest visit to China.
The president is currently on a state visit to the Asian country, having left the shores of Ghana on Friday.
On Saturday, talks began between President of China Xi Jinping and Akufo-Addo at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
However, the highlight of the event was when the Chinese decided to serve Nana Addo with a taste of Ghanaian gospel music.
The Chinese police band treated the president to a wonderful rendition of his favourite song 'Oye', which translates as 'He is good' in the Twi language.
President Akufo-Addo’s visit is aimed at reaching an agreement which would see the Chinese government construct $2bn worth of roads, hospitals, bridges and other infrastructure in exchange for access to Ghana's bauxite deposits.
The two countries are expected to finalise the 'infrastructure-for-bauxite' agreement, before Akufo-Addo returns to Ghana.
