The relationship between Alban Bagbin and Dr. Seidu Danaa appears to have soured following the former’s seemingly discriminatory comments.

At a recent National Democratic Congress (NDC) event held in the Northern Region, both men appeared to hold back despite sitting side-by-side on the high table.

Mr. Bagbin appeared to have crossed his line when he previously said the NDC lost the 2016 elections because then President John Mahama appointed a “blind man” as Minister.

His comments were in relation to Mahama’s appointment of Dr. Seidu Danaa as Minister for Chieftaincy and Regional Affairs.

By that appointment, Dr. Danaa became the first visually impaired person to be named as a Minister in Ghana.

However, Mr. Bagbin took exception to it, suggesting blind persons are “not whole” and therefore not fit to head a Ministry that caters for chiefs.

Although the Nadowli Kaleo MP later apologised for his utterances, it appears it has not been enough to mend his relationship with the former Chieftaincy Minister.

This was evident when both men met at an NDC even organised in the Northern Regional over the weekend.

Sitting side-by-side on the high table, both men appeared not to care about the other and rather preferred to look away.

A photo of the scene has since gone viral on social media, sparking talks about a feud between the two NDC stalwarts.

Meanwhile, Mr. Bagbin also stepped on the toes Dr. Omane Boamah when he said the latter shouldn’t have been made Communications Minister because he is a “stammerer”.
