- Sarkodie has called on Ghanaians stop stop putting pressure on celebrities to get married
- According to him, marriage is not for everyone
Ghanaian top rapper, Michael Owusu Addo, known in showbiz as Sarkodie, has descended heavily on those forcing celebrities to get married.
The BET award winner in an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM, said that marriage is not meant for everyone and as such people must desist from putting pressure on others to get married.
He opined that while he may feel comfortable living with Tracy for over a decade, some people cannot live with a partner for decades as there are different people with diverse characters hence no need to pressure others into marriage.
“I am very comfortable living with Tracy, we have been together for over a decade, but not everyone can do that. There are some people who simply will not be comfortable if asked to live with someone for a decade, we are different people. We do not need to pressure others into marriage,” he said.
His comment on marriage comes on the back of fans calling on Shatta Wale to marry his baby mama, Shatta Michy after he, (Sarkodie) had successfully wedded his longtime girlfriend and baby mama, Tracy.
The pressure was intensified after Becca tied the knot with Dr. Tobi Sanni.
The most decorated Ghanaian rapper and Tracy stunned Ghanaians by getting married two months ago.
Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh had previously reported a story of Sarkodie releasing a new song which features the voice of President Nana Akufo-Addo.
The new song titled ‘Black Excellence’ (Ebibi Man) is a commentary on African (Ghanaian) mentality, corruption and financial security.
