Whenever we hear the word "CD", we think about family planning methods of preventive measures during intimacy.
This is not the case for the fisherfolk in the East African state of Kenya who are using the magic of 'rubber' to protect themselves, wait, their phones from sinking in the deep waters whenever their canoes capsize.
The BBC World News Service got in touch with these fishermen who revealed on camera how these 'rubbers' were used to protect phones.
In the video, you will find a fisherman unwrapping the 'CD', taking off the lubricant and inserting his phone in it after which he ties the phone.
"Our boats capsize many times and we lose our phones. We have to be creative all the time due to our meager earnings...Rescuers can also locate you in case you get lost in deep waters," one of the fisherwalk revealed.
