-At school, he studied Physician Assistantship.
-He says making people up has always been his passion.
Eric Nortey is a freelance make-up artist.
He describes himself as cool, dramatic and funny.
Eric otherwise known as Speyzeyzey says despite the numerous obstacle, he is determined to become successful in his endeavor.
He has been a make-up artist for two years now.
According to him, one challenge he encountered was the difficulty in getting customers.
He said it is quite difficult working on people who have not made up before.
What inspires him is the quest to be innovative and bring new things into the world.
He usually works on week-ends and says his endeavor has never been an obstacle to his academic work.
‘A customer has called me a fool before. The customer felt she was sweating and insisted I cleaned her face. When I told her she wasn’t sweating, she referred to me as a fool. I only ignored her comment and did what she asked me to.’ He recounted.
Seyzeyzey believes patience is what will guarantee his success since some customers are difficult to handle.
He says some people tend to discourage and call him names, saying his job is only for ladies.
Eric says these comments do not bother him since getting his job done and leaving positive footprints are all he cares about.
Looking into the future, Eric desires for his make-up business to become a multinational brand.
His advice to fellow young people is to look into themselves, discover their passion and develop it into an economic venture.
