- Embattled medical doctor, Dominic Obeng-Andoh, rescued a man who nearly died at an Accra High Court
- The man, who was only identified as Bismark, was on the verge of dying at the court
It was a life-saving moment at an Accra High Court after director of Obengfo Hospital, Dominic Obeng-Andoh, helped rescue the life of a dying man.
A man identified only as Bismark reportedly fell unconscious while court proceedings were ongoing.
Accra-based Adom FM reported that the man was on the verge of dying after collapsing, but for the timely intervention of Mr. Obeng-Andoh.
The victim had come to the court with his lawyers to move an application for the release of his passport which he deposited as part of his bail conditions.
However, whiles proceedings were ongoing he fell to the floor and began to gasp for breath.
Mr. Obeng-Andoh quickly rushed to offer him first aid, upon realising the man was unresponsive.
The efforts of the embattled “doctor” helped the victim regain consciousness, to the relief of his relative who had accompanied him to the court.
Mr. Obeng-Andoh then pleaded with the CWO to get a wheelchair to transport the man to a nearby clinic.
The situation is reported to have disrupted court proceedings, having gotten the judge, Justice Abdullah Iddrisu very worried.
The victim, however, later received medication at a clinic and was subsequently discharged to go home.
Dr Dominic Obeng Andoh has been remanded in custody for his role in the mysterious death of Stacy Offei Darko whom until her untimely death was the deputy CEO of National Entrepreneurship Innovative Programme (NEIP).
