- Joseph Yammin was defeated in his bid to become the NDC's chairman in the Ashanti Region
- Onasis Kobby believes Yammin's utterances in the aftermath of the defeat are not helpful
A member of the campaign team of Ms Betty Mould Iddrisu has protested against the defeated Regional Chairman aspirant of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ashanti Region, Joseph Yammin.
In a reported sighted by YEN.com.gh on Mynewsgh.com, the member of the said campaign team, Onasis Kobby spoke about his disappointment with Yammin.
Kobby was speaking in an interview with Accra-based Okay FM. And he did not mince words in basically telling Yammin to shut up.
He said that the attacks doming from Yammin were unwarranted and bound to split the party needlessly.
Kobby reportedly said in the interview:“We are not perturbed if Yammin campaigns against Madam Betty Mould. It is his democratic rights but what we will not accept are allegations that she caused his defeat which is not true.
Madam as a national officer only attended the event and sat down till it came to a close before left for Wa on a campaign tour. Nowhere did she canvass for votes against Yammin."
Kobby then asked that every NDC member made their sole mission joining forces together in order to push the party to power in 2020.
