Being home and unemployed could be a scary experience for many of us. In fact, the majority of Ghana's unemployed are university graduates who started out their courses with the dream of landing a better job in the future.
This is not the story of a young pencil artist from the Tema municipality who is already living his dreams in an artistic way.
"Back in school, I did visual arts and because there is low employment in Ghana now I decided to learn more about art to create a job for myself.
So after school, I decided to do pencil at to make a living for myself and also created a group named #Team Pencil where I teach some people how to draw so that they can also earn a living through that," he stated.
All that young pencil artistes like Manny Pencil, need in their formative curative stages is that little push that could propel them to become world-class artists.
Even at this stage, Manny has already exhibited a high sense of creativity in making crisp portraits of popular faces in Ghana like a rapper, Sarkodie, CEO of Zylofon and others.
