YEN.com.gh has gathered that the police in the Central Region have arrested a Level 300 student of the University of Cape Coast.
The case is reported of a 22 year-old student of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) arrested with the charge of kidnapping. The student, Simeon Cephas Andoh Dadzie is accused of kidnapping an 18 year-old SHS student for five days.
Details on the situation are scanty but according to 3news.com, the young lady is a student of a senior high school in the Western Region. But it seems the victim was already to Dadzie before the alleged crime.
Dadzie is a third year student of UCC who only reported to school after reopeneing. He isalleged to have kept the girl in his hostel for five days.
Specific information as to how the girl was reported kidnapped is not known to us. However, Central Regional police were informed so as to make the arrest of the young man.
The issue is currently dividing opinion on social media. There are numerous people who do not believe that the the SHS student was kidnapped.
These non-believers of the kidnapping charge speculate on what has come to be known by university students as 'camping'. The process involves romantic partners coming over to stay at their lover's in a bid to spend time.
