- Mubarak Muntaka has been mocked for making a grammatical error in a condolence message
- Social media users took the opportunity to recommend the free SHS policy to him
The Member of Parliament for Asawase, Mubarak Mohammed Muntaka, found in himself in a bizarre spelling gaffe during the weekend. The MP had joined a number of sympathisers in his constituency to mourn the death of an individual.
Capturing his time with the dead man's family on social media, Muntaka wrote "moaning" instead of what he clearly meant to be "mourning." Social media users were then sent into a frenzy over this mistake.
The MP wrote: "Moaning with the family of Sulley Razak #StillDemandingForJustice #Zongo7." Indeed, the legislator wrote this on Facebook as well as on Twitter.
Muntaka is the minority chief whip in the Parliament of Ghana. He is 3-time MP from the main opposition, National Democratic Congress (NDC).
As the trend has become, Muntaka's spelling mistake was not let to go free from mockery. Ghanaians chanced upon it to make carious sussgestions to the MP.
A few more suggested to him that the current government's Free Senior High School education was necessary for people like him.
Interestingly, at the time of going to press, the posts were still up on Muntaka's social media pages.
