The attack on my life was moved by the NDC - Deputy minister responds

- Francis Ato Cudjoe is accusing the opposition as being behind the attack on his life

- The Member of Parliament doubles as a Deputy Minister of Fisheries

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ekumfi Constituency in the Central Region, Francis Ato Cudjoe has pointed to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as the ones who masterminded an attempt on his life.

Cudjoe doubles as an MP and a deputy minister for Fisheries. So on an occasion where the politician gave a speech and promised the people a few things that he intended to do, the irate crowd did not take too kindly to it.

According to reports gathered by YEN.com.gh, the youth were furious with Cudjoe because he had promised to do certain things prior to the 2016 elections. However, he has not fulfilled his promises.

My ambush was masterminded by NDC

The Deputy Minister is accusing the biggest opposition party NDC as masterminding the attack on his life

According to some who joined in the attack, they were convinced to vote for him and his New Patriotic Party (NPP) even though they were members of the NDC. They then thought of a rather bizarre way to register their disappointment.

But Cudjoe has fired back telling the media that the NDC were responsible for the attack. He said that he was disappointed by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) which he believes resorted to violence to oust him out of office.

He explained that not only is the place he was attacked an NDC stronghold but the youth seen in the video are all NDC.

The NDC are yet to comment on this matter.
