Bankroller of Ghana Premier League side Ashanti Gold SC, Dr. Kwaku Frimpong, has lost his Lamborghini which costs over GHC 120, 000 after betting with it in a football match between his side and Kotoko.
On Sunday, September 9, his side lost 3-2 to the Porcupine Warriors at the Baba Yara Stadium in the first game of their two-legged friendly.
Prior to the clash, Dr. Frimpong bragged that his club is the best team in the country with quality and seasoned players.
He bet his Lamborghini on the game and was going to give away his expensive car should Kotoko win the game.
Having lost the first bet, Dr. Frimpong says he has struck a deal with Asante Kotoko CEO, Dr. Kwame Kyei to bet with their houses situated at Accra Achimota Golf Park.
According to the business mogul, both of them have houses at the vicinity valued at $500,000.
"Yes I lost the first bet and I congratulate Kotoko for what happened," Dr. Frimpong told Oyerepa FM.
"I gave the keys to Dr. Kwame Kyei because the supporters didn't allow one lady that won to move the vehicle. Dr. Kwame Kyei has asked us to bet on the second leg with our houses. We both have houses at Achimota Golf Park, Kwame Kyei has 5 of them and I have 12."
"Both are valued at $500,000 each so any of us who wins will possess the house. We will beat them at Obuasi," he added.
The second leg of their friendly game will come off at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium on September 16, 2018.
