- NDC's Deputy General Secretary, Koku Anyidhoho, has called on the party to wean itself off those working against it
- According to him, Former President Mahama and some of his followers are not working for the interest of the party
- His comments have however been perceived as an indirect attack on the MP for Ningo Prampram, Sam George
The Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho, has claimed that there is only one way the party can regain its lost glory.
According to a report by MyNewsGH.com, he stated that Former President John Mahama and some of his followers are working against the interest of the party.
He further stated that they also fought against the vision and the success of the former president, the late Professor John Atta-Mills.
According to him, the only way out of this is for the ‘latter day saints’ who have taken over the party to ask themselves some tough questions.
In his opinion, questions such as “what happened to the strong and vibrant party Prof Mills left?” will reveal serious secrets.
Anyidoho is alleged to have written that “Be that as it may, the venerable and never-vindictive Professor Mills, defied cautious counsel and brought all of them under his fold including their avowed deity who led the party to it most miserable defeat.
They fail to ask, what happened to the vibrant, strong NDC Prof. Mills left?”
YEN.com.gh understands that his message could be interpreted to be a direct shade at the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ningo Prampram, Sam George.
Anyidoho has expressed his interest in vying for the position of General Secretary of the NDC, an office currently occupied by Johnson Asiedu Nketia, also known as General Mosquito.
General Mosquito’s declaration of intent to contest for his position again, has resulted in a myriad of exchanges between the two NDC stalwarts.
