The director of the Advanced BodySculpt Centre otherwise known as Obengfo Hospital, Dr Dominic Obeng-Andoh, has revealed that he had two weeks training in liposuction.
In an interview with Asempa FM on Thursday, September 13, 2018, he said his training took place in a health facility in the United States of America (USA).
“I was trained for two weeks for cosmetic surgery, and I can confidently say that I am doing well as a medical doctor.
If a person is a medical doctor it doesn’t matter the years and you don’t need a thousand years to become a good doctor,” he said.
He went on to say that “I was trained at the School of Medical Sciences at the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. I graduated in 1997.
I had my house job training there and then at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital. Then I worked as a Medical Officer at Korle Bu.”
He further revealed that he has been private practice since the year 2000, but went to Florida in the USA to study the basic, intermediary and advanced levels in liposuction.
According to Dr Obeng-Andoh, his clientele base stretches beyond Ghana because of the success rates of his centre’s operations.
He added that in his line of profession, he has undertaken about a thousand surgeries, all devoid of complications.
Dr. Obengfo was in the news in recent times when one of his patients, Stacy Darko, lost her life.
Until her death, she was the deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Entrepreneurship Innovative Programme (NEIP). She has since been buried.
