Kwame Kyei says that he is not bothered that people are saying he stole the concept from Rick Ross' album.
The young artist behind the artwork for Shatta Wale's upcoming album cover has said that he is not bothered by accusations of plagiarism. Entertainment observers immediately connected Shatta's album cover with that of a cover from Rick Ross.
US rapper Rick Ross' ninth studio album, "Rather You Than Me" ame out in 2017. Its cover shows Ross against a blackboard background with spray-writing of his the tracks on the album.
This did not escape the notice of those who allege that the similarity between that and Shatta Wale's album cover cannot be overlooked.They then proceeded to say that the artist certainly copied for Ross.
But according to Zylofonfmonline.com, the artist behind Shatta's album artwork Kwame Kyei in speaking to Sammy Flex on Showbiz Agenda on Zylofon 102.1 FM, said the allegations do not bother him at all.
He reportedly said: “It doesn’t bother me at all that people think it is a copied work, at least I know it has made some impact”.
“I didn’t steal the concept. My inspiration is art. I only blended photo with writing.”.
Kyei was however grateful that he was given the opportunity to work with Zylofon-signed musician Shatta Wale.
