Warsaw is the capital city, and also leads in the list of big cities in Poland. It is also the most populated with around 1,753,977 residents placing it in the eighth position on the list of most populated cities in the European Union. Warsaw City covers an area of 516.9 sq.km while its metropolitan covers an area limit of 6100.43 sq.km. It was granted the city rights in the year 1323. Surprisingly; Warsaw is ranked a major tourist destination and the wealthiest capital city in Central and Eastern Europe. The city is also ranked 32nd in the worlds livable cities.

Lodz has a city area of 293.25 sq.km and a population density of 2400/sq.km. It was granted the city rights in the year 1423 with Piotrkowska street being the city’s landmark. Before Poland gained independence, Lodz was a very small city but doubled its population between 1823 and 1873 when the Jewish ethnics established several industries within the city. In the past, the city has hosted Poznan International Fair which is the largest fair in Europe.
