No explosion at Accra Mall as predicting prophet goes silent on Thursday

About 24 hours after the Eagle prophet predicted carnage around the Accra Mall, no such thing has happened and Ghanaians have not heard from the spiritual leader.

Earlier on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, a video surfaced on social media capturing the General Overseer of the God’s Crown Chapel, Prophet Reindolph Oduro Gyebi, warn of an impending explosion around the Accra Mall.

The prediction was expected to be fulfilled by 12 noon. Oduro Gyebi warned of dire consequences for life and property in the vicinity of the Accra Mall off the Spintex Road.

But as at the time of going to press which was after 12 noon, can confirm that no such explosion has occurred. Indeed, business in that area has not seen any change on Thursday.

The spiritual leader whose congregation is based in Kumasi, is yet to offer an explanation as to why his deadly prediction has not actualised.

The story sent shock waves through the Ghanaian social media space. Within hours of our publication, thousands of people had viewed the story and offered comments on Facebook.

It is interesting to note that the Ghana Police Service did not treat the matter as a security threat. In previous times, similar predictions of a deadly nature have had people invited over investigations.
