Former British High Commissioner to Ghana, Jon Benjamin, has revealed that he is the godfather of Shatta Movement owned by dancehall sensation Shatta Wale.
The British diplomat has been a die-hard fan of the self-acclaimed dancehall king.
In confirming his love for Shatt Wale, Jon Benjamin in a recent tweet disclosed that he is the godather of Shatta Movement.
His tweet was well received by the fans of the ‘Ayoo’ hitmaker.
The diplomat made this known after he was tagged by an SM fan as the father of Shatta Movement and he replied stating that he is actually the godfather of SM.
He has on one or two occasions defended Shatta Wale on social media; this goes as much to tell you of the friendship bond between them.
Well, In response to a tagged tweet by an SM fan, Jon Benjamin replied, "I'm actually the Shatta Movement godfather."
Jon Benjamin and Shatta Wale have been good friends for quite some time and this tweet might not really be of much surprise to many.
It could be recalled that, after John Benjamin was replaced by a new HIgh Commissioner Iain Walker , a picture of Jon Benjamin and Shatta Wale drinking beer together popped up on the internet.
This picture really caused stir on social media.
Shatta Wale was recently in the news for saying that he is not ready to make peace with rival Stonebwoy.
Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy’s manager Blakk Cedi were captured in a video hanging out together, though Stonebwoy was not present, it was believed that the meeting was to settle the difference between the two artistes.
But according to him, he never met with Blakk Cedi to smoke peace pipe with Stonebwoy.
