- Ibrah One has hinted of taking his own life should Menzgold become functional after September 28
- He noted that customers of the gold hub should accept that their monies were lost
- This is not the first time Ibrah has commented on the trending Menzgold saga
Ibrah One, noted as one of Ghana's youngest millionaires, has indicated his readiness to end his life should embattled gold hub, Menzgold, return to work on September 28, as it promised the general public.
In a number of screenshots sighted by YEN.com.gh,. believed to be coming from his Snapchat handle, Ibrah One revealed that some customers of Menzgold had to come to terms with the fact that their investments were gone.
He went on to call the bluff of the company by putting his life on the line if they returned to business and resumed their gold vault services and dividend payments.
One of the posts he made read, "Should Menzgold resume work on the 28th as promised, I'll kill myself"
In yet another post, Ibrah One indicated that, "Customers of Menzgold should accept the fact that there is no money. Even though it is painful to know their monies was paid to them indirectly, they should just accept the fact that they won't get even Ghc1 anytime soon."
YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Menzgold Ghana Limited had extended the suspension of its gold vault operations and dividend payment to September 28 after it had set an earlier date of September 19.
However, Ibrah One waded into the saga involving the gold hub, its CEO, Security Exchange Commission (SEC) and investors of Menzgold by stating that deposits were used on actors who had not acted in years and musicians.
One of his earlier posts read, “Investing most of those deposits on musicians and seasonal actors who haven’t acted in years.”
The young millionaire went on to assert the fact that lawyers could not help salvage the situation because the earlier deadline they gave to their customers was less than 24-hours away and there was still no hope in sight.
“You promised that you would resume business on the 19th of September which is tomorrow. Okay, let’s see how that promise holds…even lawyers from heaven can’t help you. #TalkisCheap,” Ibrah One wrote.
As he predicted, the suspension of the company's activities was shifted to September 28 and was only announced at the last minute.
Ibrah One also lamented the number of high-profiled personalities who had their monies invested with Menzgold in yet another post which read:
“Highly educated individuals including lawyers, politicians, Members of Parliament, doctors and others fell for the scam. #Smartmove,” Ibrah One added.
One aggrieved customer has already threatened to lead a class-action suit against the company for not being transparent with its clients
The young millionaire noted for his flashy cars tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend, Dija Labelle in a private ceremony recently.
The millionaire caught the attention of many Ghanaians when he was seen in a video on his birthday, giving out brand new iPhones to some occupants of a commercial bus popularly known as ‘trotro’.
