- Reverend Sam Korankye Ankrah has revealed that Eagle Prophet's Accra Mall prophecy was unfounded

- According to the Royalhouse Chapel founder the prophecy aimed at depressing Ghanaians

- The explosion which was predicted to take place on September 20 did not happen

The general overseer of Royalhouse Chapel, Reverend Sam Korankye Ankrah, has criticised Prophet Reindolph Oduro Gyebi, popularly known as Eagle Prophet, over his recent prophecy that predicted doom at the Accra Mall.

Rev. Sam Korankye Ankrah, who was speaking during one of his church services revealed that the prophecy of the explosion at the Accra Mall aimed at making people depressed, leading to fear.

The pastor added that even if for some strange reason there was a fire outbreak in the area, it was not because God wanted to punish them.

He reiterated the fact that such prophecies were projected only to make people afraid of the unknown and to make them depressed.

According to Rev. Sam Korankye Ankrah, prophecies are supposed to prove God's power in turning around situations that are meant to seem hopeless and not the other way round.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Prophet Reindolph Oduro Gyebi, who is the general overseer of God’s Crown Chapel, claimed that there was going to be a gas tanker explosion around the Accra Mall.

The explosion, according to the Eagle Prophet, was to happen at 11:30 AM on September 20.

When the news went out, many people were on the lookout and others took the pains to avoid that part of town.

The expected day of the explosion came by and there was no explosion even though there were feelings of uneasiness among people who plied that part of Accra.

Following the 'no-show' after the popular prophet's prediction, a section of the general public was up in arms and called for the head of the Eagle Prophet over what they called a 'fake' prophecy.

In an interview on GH One TV monitored by YEN.com.gh, some traders and regular users of that part of town shared their views on the matter.

Some people threatened to beat up the man of God and others called on the government to sanction him for causing fear and panic.

The popular pastor, who was also on the show, revealed that he was not perturbed about the backlash because he had prayed and made a supplication to God to avert the disaster.

Prophet Oduro Gyebi also added he was certain he was not going to get into trouble with the security services over his prophecy because he even received a call from them to clarify on the actions they had to take in case of any eventuality.

Prophet Oduro Gyebi warned Ghanaians of an explosion that was going to happen at the Accra Mall on Thursday, September 20.

The religious leader preached his prediction in a video which was circulating on social media.

According to the prediction, the explosion was going to be caused by a tanker using the Tema Motorway.
