- A 25-year-old Russian lady was recently buried in the most odd way
- Late Rita Shameeva, during her lifetime was a known phone addict
- After dying by an unknown cause, she was buried under a tombstone shaped like her favourite iPhone
Often times, we are bombarded with dead people being buried in uncharacteristic fashion. While some of these unusual burial styles are interesting, some seem completely odd.
One of such odd ones is that of a 25-year-old lady identified as Rita Shameeva. During her lifetime, the Russian lady was known to be a phone addict. Unfortunately, her life was cut short by an unknown cause, sending her to an early grave.
However, her grieving dad, Rais Shameev, decided to do something special for her. He erected a five-foot-high iPhone which was her favourite as her gravestone. Her burial plot which is located in the oil-rich city known as Ufa in Russia stands out tall and bizarre.
The five-foot-high monument is made of black basalt and bears the Apple symbol on the reverse, and a picture of Shameeva on the front.
Very little is known about the deceased except that she loved her phone, travelled a lot and had friends in Germany.
The tombstone towers above other gravestones in the Yuzhnoye cemetery, and also has a QR code on the base and was added by her dad, two years after her passing in 2016.
