Mahama needs a psychiatric examination - NPP executive

- An NPP official, David Prah, has called for a psychiatric examination for former President Mahama

- According to him, Mahama is the most shameless president Ghana has ever had

- His comments were in reaction to remarks by Mahama about President Akufo-Addo

The Eastern Regional Director of Communications of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), David Prah, has lashed out at former President John Mahama.

According to a report by MyNewsGH.com, Prah argued that Mahama needs to have his head examined.

Speaking on Happy FM’s ‘Epa Hoa Daben’, Prah said that Mahama is the most shameless president who ever ruled Ghana.

His comments were in reaction to remarks by Mahama to the effect that President Akufo-Addo has failed Ghanaians for not living up to expectations, considering what he said as opposition leader.

“Sometimes I think Mahama is on drugs, that’s why as a former president he can make such comments. He (Mahama) needs psychiatric or mental attention. He may be frustrated, so he deserve no attention from the NPP,” Prah stated.

Attempts by the host of the programme, Kwame Afrifa-Mensah to get him to apologize for his comments failed.

John Dramani Mahama, who was defeated in the 2016 presidential race by President Akufo-Addo, has launched a comeback with strong competition from members of his government who are set to challenge him.

Many have however tipped him to win the NDC primaries, which is scheduled for December 2018.
