Mahama behaved like an entertainment prefect during his tenure as president – Chairman Wontumi

- Bernard Antwi-Boasiako has claimed that John Mahama behaved like an entertainment prefect during his time as president

- He added that there was no seriousness about government business during Mahama's tenure

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Benard Antwi-Boasiako, has claimed that John Mahama behaved like an entertainment prefect during his time as president.

According to him, Mahama could be best remembered for his “unnecessary” entertainment antics.

Boasiako, also known as Chairman Wontumi, added that the element of seriousness that comes with governing a country was absent during his presidency.

He went on to say that he is in possession of a dossier on Mahama, and “it is embarrassing to note that he enjoyed the fun bit of being president more than exhibiting seriousness that is attached with occupying that seat.

Wontumi challenged Ghanaians to compare the entire tenure of former president Mahama where “dumsor” and “corruption” were predominant factors killing businesses, to the young administration of President Akufo-Addo where the same predicaments, have been reduced to its minimal level.

Mahama is reported to have received backlash from the public after he was captured in a video that went viral, suggesting that he doled out money to some traders for votes when he visited Kaneshie in Accra.

In Wontumi’s opinion, Mahama will do worse if he is ever voted for as president of Ghana.

“This was our former president who openly distributed monies to people and his few friends in the entertainment industry.

He was even captured in a video that went viral and he didn’t bother about it. He was also known for using state monies to support activities that had no benefit to the growth of Ghana just for the crowd to chant his name,” Wontumi stated.
