YEN.com.gh is in possession of a photo which shows the staff of La Palm Royal Beach Hotel protesting against unfair labour practices.
The incident occurred on the morning of Monday, October 1, 2018, when the aggrieved workers blocked the entrance of the hotel.
According to them, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Abena Pokua Boatey Amoah, has instituted measures which are inimical to their well-being.
The workers held placards with inscriptions such as: “Respect workers’ rights// Madam CEO/MD/GM'// 'A highly competent and professional person must run hotels and not you Madam MD,” among others.
Members of the Industrial and Commercial Workers Union (ICU) have also gathered at the hotel to solidarize with the picketing staff.
