Photos: World's biggest plane being flown by Captain Quainoo finally lands in Accra
The much-anticipated flight of the world's biggest plane has come off as the plane arrived in Accra on Tuesday.
The Emirates Airbus A380 touched down at the Kotoka International Airport’s Terminal 3, Accra to a water cannon salute.
It will be recalled that YEN.com.gh reported that the world's biggest passenger airplane, Emirates' Airbus A380, will make a one-off flight to the Kotoka International Airport on Tuesday, October 2.
The flight which is in commemoration of the opening of the newly built state-of-the-art Terminal 3 at the airport.

The Airbus A380, which carries between 525 and 853 people depending on class configuration, it was to test the airport’s readiness to accommodate the world’s largest commercial passenger jet.
As earlier reported, Ghanaian pilot Captain Samuel Quainoo flew the Airbus A380 on this historic journey.
Supporting him was Senior First Officer Faisal Alhammadi from the UAE.
Among the many passengers on the plane was celebrity blogger, Ameyaw Debrah who updated his followers with photos.

On hand to meet the plane were leading members of the Akufo-Addo government including the former and current minister for Aviation.
Meanwhile, before the flight took off from Dubai, Captain Quainoo did something special on the plane.

In a video from the plane sighted by YEN.com.gh, the aircraft could be seen filled with passengers as Captain Quainoo announced flight take-off and expected time in flight among other details.
Interestingly, he did so in Twi before he translated into English for others who did not understand.
