There was more of a sense of urgency from Manchester United as they tackled Valencia despite the game ending in 0-0 at Old Trafford on Tuesday, October 2.

United still lacked that sharp edge and creativity that they were once revered for.

Paul Pogba was a menace and had some chances at goal and even came close to scoring one of his signature free-kicks in the second-half but his efforts were thwarted by Brazilian goalkeeper Neto.

There was measurably more effort exerted from Jose Mourinho's men as they seemed hungry for goals throughout the encounter.

Valencia struggled to create chances as Michy Batshuayi muscled his way around United defenders constantly giving them trouble though they managed to hold out their attacks.

United were almost punished in the 72nd minute after Batshuayi's searching pass found Guedes who darted off from inside his own half before missing a one-on-one chance against De Gea.

Juventus now top group H with six points from two games, United drop to second with four points while Valencia remain third with one point and Young Boys fourth with zero points.

However, despite the draw Mourinho is not out of the woods just yet as he has not managed a win in his last four games.

Mourinho has certainly seen better days at Old Trafford and he seems to have lost the confidence of what was once a formidable team competing with the big five of the English top flight. previously reported that Pogba had reportedly threatened to force his way out of Manchester United in January if Jose Mourinho remains the manager at the club.

The 25-year-old's relationship with his Red Devils manager has been in shambles, few months after winning the Europa League in 2017.
