- In his opinion,.the four are politicians, the clergy, journalists and chiefs
- He called on Ghanaians to read the Bible for themselves so they are not misled
The Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, has claimed that there are four groups of people hindering Ghana’s progress.
According to him, they are responsible for most, if not all the challenges facing the nation.
He claimed that politicians, the clergy, journalists and chiefs are those whose activities hinder Ghana’s progress.
His comments are allegedly based on his frustration at Ghana’s inability to make progress in the area of development.
Speaking on Adom FM’s morning show, Badwam on Tuesday, October 3, 2018, the MP said the people who arrogate the position of pastor, politician and others to themselves are only in to take advantage of the ignorance of their followers for their personal interest to create wealth for themselves.
Kennedy Agyapong’s comment comes on the back of the request of the General Overseer of Action Chapel International Ministry, Archbishop Duncan William, to his church to embark on prayer and fasting for Ghana to avert the economic hardships being experienced by the people.
In his opinion, Ghana has been subjected to such mismanagement that only a modicum of sanity is left, something he believes has stunted the country’s progress.
He therefore urged Ghanaians to study the Bible on their own in order not to be deceived and misled by fake pastors.
