Afropop singer, Wendy Abena Ofosuhemma Addo, popularly known as Wendy Shay, has released a new song which appears to be a petition to God to preserve her life after she received a barrage of attacks from her critics.
The song which is titled 'Psalm 35', features multiple award-winning rapper, Sarkodie and 'Confusion' singer, Kuami Eugene.
Wendy Shay was heard in the song asking God to intervene in her situation because her critics wanted to 'kill' her.
The singer who is another product of Rufftown Records, teamed up with her male counterparts in the entertainment industry in her 'emotional supplication to God.
The song follows some criticism that came the way of the singer after some 'half-naked' photo of her caused a stir on social media.
Many social media users 'went for the head' of the 'Uber Driver' singer after they expressed their concerns over the photo which had already gone viral.
In reacting to the photo, Wendy Shay came out to indicate that the said photo was photoshopped in a bid to tarnish her fast-growing reputation in the music industry.
Excerpts of her post on Instagram read, "...Hiding behind the internet and sharing photoshopped images of me will not bring me down. I am here to show my talent to the world and the evil plans you have in mind will not pull me down."
However, a social media user, in reacting to Wendy Shay's response, put out a video to prove that the photos that were making rounds on social media were real.
Wendy Shay, just her her predecessor, late Ebony Reigns, has been hit by many criticisms and rumors after she came into the limelight.
Not too long ago, it was reported that she had been caught in bed with her manager, Bullet, by a certain lady.
The 'Bedroom Commando', however in a recent interview, rubbished the claims and indicated that she was not living in the same house with Bullet. She also added that Bullet had never proposed to her so the claims were unfounded.
Prior to that, founder and leader of Zion Miracle Worship center (ZMWC), Prophet Stephen Kwadwo Adom, alleged that Wendy Shay would be buried in a nurse’s uniform.
