Rawlings allegedly describes Kufuor as 'wicked creature' and 'hypocrite'

The online portal, MyNewsGH.com, has reported that former president, Jerry Rawlings, used some tough descriptions against former president John Kufuor.

The online media portal claims that Jerry Rawlings was heard making those statements while addressing an audience.

Starting from Atta Mills, Mr Rawlings said “W’antumi any hu!”, referencing Mills ability to right wrongs of the past.
For Mr. Mahama, Rawlings said he wasted his opportunity but when it got to Akufo-Addo, Mr Rawlings said he doesn’t understand why people don’t respect that man, because in his words, “that man is ‘cultured”.
The last person is John Agyekum Kufuor whose name Mr Rawlings did not mention but said “some former presidents are “Hypocrites, wicked creatures”.
Stressing and repeating the words, he said “yes, hypocrites! Wicked creatures!”.

This is not the first time Jerry Rawlings has made such comments. He earlier made a telling statement on how much he detests former presidents John Mahama and John Agyekum Kufuor.

According to the founder of the NDC, he will not mind spending eternity in hell than to see Mahama and Kufuor share a place with him in Heaven.

In an address to members of the party in the Volta Region, Jerry Rawlings argued that both former presidents have failed to develop Ghana despite their campaign promised to do so.

“I know with my integrity when I die, I will go to heaven but when I see these corrupt leaders, I will ask permission from God and flog them. If they don’t leave heaven for me, I will go and leave the heavens and join Satan in hell because I cannot stay in the same place with them,” Jerry Rawlings stated.

Rawlings made these statements when the chiefs and people of Mepe in the North Tongu Constituency in the Volta Region paid a courtesy call on him to officially invite him to the final funeral rites of Mamaga Awusi Sreku II, queen of the Mepe Traditional Area.

In fact, the words of Jerry Rawlings come as no surprise to followers of Ghanaian politics. Founder of the NDC has held massive rallies in the past especially against former president John Kufuor.

Rawlings subsequently apologized for the words used against Kufuor.
