Prophet Badu Kobi blames Ghana’s constitution for the challenges the country faces

- A man of God, Prophet Badu Kobi, has stated that Ghana's 1992 constitution is of no use to Ghanaians

- He explained that the constitution should give Ghanaians the right to remove a government if it isn't working in their best interest

- Prophet Badu added that Ghana's challenges are both physical and spiritual and as such President Akufo-Addo should carefully find solutions to them

The Founder and Leader of the Glorious Wave Church International, Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi, has blamed Ghana’s 1992 constitution for the challenges the country faces.

To him, the country’s constitution gives too much power to the president, who abuses it by doing as he pleases.

According to a report by GHIssues.com, he added that President Akufo-Addo and his government have misused their powers, resulting in the hardships being faced by Ghanaians.

Prophet Kobi went on to say that it makes no sense for citizens to he held bondage by the constitution for four years, when the government is performing as it should.

In his opinion, the citizens should be given the opportunity to remove a government that isn’t working in their interest.

He added that the four-year term should either be reduced or made flexible so that the country’s government could be changed if it isn’t performing.

“Our system isn’t the best, that we will have a leader to be in the realm of affairs for four years before we have the chance to change the person.

It is a wrong system. If the person becomes president and is not performing, he needs to be changed. If after two years of becoming the president the person doesn’t perform, we have to organize elections and kick them out.

Is that not the practice in other jurisdictions? In other jurisdictions, someone is voted into office but within two years, the people pass a vote of no confidence and he is voted out.

Don’t you hear of such? That is why we are suffering; we need to adopt that system in Ghana” Badu Kobi said on Kofi TV.

Prophet Kobi went on to say that Ghana’s current hardships has both spiritual and natural underpinnings and President Akufo-Addo must therefore tread cautiously and find solutions to these factors.
