Ghanaian celebrities, just like those from anywhere, are appreciated partly because they are thought to be refined. By the logic of their fans, celebrities have risen above the normal life of any other person.
However, there are those who are still not seen to be refined as the rest of the celebrity. Tried as they would, these celebrities are not held up as classy as others.
The reasons for this are varied, with one prominent point being that these "villager" celebrities cannot speak English properly.
YEN.com.gh compile a list of a number of these celebrities.
1. Rosemond Brown
Rosemond Brown is a very vocal and active actress, to say the least. Some find her loud and perhaps, embarrassing.
Brown, or Akuapem Poloo, is well aware of this but it does not weigh her down.
4. Lil Win
Kwadwo Nkansah is an actor who has been able to transcend the limitations of Kumawood. He is also an entrepreneur.
Nkansah has had his fashion sense and his English language questioned by Ghanaians who think he is not classy.
A man who came on to the scene with what might be described as an accidental hit song, Patapaa has actually not looked back since.
As a result of his inability to follow through with another hit song and his penchant for outrageous fashion styles, Patapaa has also been described as a villager.

The actor has struggled to replicate the achievements of his early years but he is still held in esteem. He is just not seen as classy.
