Championship side Aston Villa have announced Dean Smith as new head coach and will be assisted by John Terry.
Smith agreed to join Villa from Brentford to replace departed Steve Bruce while Terry who recently announced his retirement from football will be number two.
The former Chelsea star will be starting his managerial career at the last club he represented before hanging his boots.
The Upton park outfit have also appointed a new Sporting Director in the shape of Jesus Garcia Pitarch.
Smith is understood to be a Villa fan from his childhood and enjoyed success at Walsall between 2011 and 2015 before switching to Griffin Park.
A couple of names have linked become potential manager of the club incluing Arsenal legend and former Belgium assistant coach Thierry Henry.
The 37-year-old last featured for Championship outfit Aston Villa in the 2017-18 season before hanging his boots.
