And when it came to the business of the day, that is the launch, Shatta Wale did it in grand style as he reportedly sold the first copy of the album for a whopping GHC150,000.
According to reports, Shatta Wale actually requested GHC100,000 for the first copy but the surprise of many, one businessman known as Sledge and his wife came on to offer GHC150,000 saying Shatta Wale deserved more.
'The Reign' album has 17 tracks. According to the artiste, although he loves all the songs on the album, his favourite is Exodus because it is inspired by his real-life struggles.
Before the launch, Shatta Wale a number of singles including Gringo and Amount off the album.
Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh pulled up a big surprise on the night as Shatta Wale joined Michy on stage midway through her performance and asked her to marry him.
A visibly shocked Michy hugged Shatta Wale who later kissed her passionately while their three-year-old son, Majesty, wandered on the stage.
The baby mama of the dancehall artiste recently asked Ghanaians to desist from tagging her with the Shatta brand.
“I want people to accept me for me, not tag me to that brand even though I have been a part of the story. I just want to be known for me, it is like owning my brand. I have been a part of the story, building the empire,” she had reportedly said.
