YEN.com.gh earlier reported that multiple award-winning Dancehall acts, Stonebwoy and Samini were denied a chance to appear at the launch of the 'Reign' album of Shatta Wale.
According to Samini, who made the allegation on his Twitter, he and Stonebwoy went to the Fantasy Dome in a bid to surprise Shatta Wale and his fans but they sat in their car waiting for over an hour only to be told Shatta had refused their show of support.
Notwithstanding the snub, Samini congratulated Shatta Wale on the successful launch.
"Congrats @shattawalegh on your album launch. just like you once wanted to surprise me on saminifest stage and I let you, I’d wanted to do the same but I waited in the car together with @stonebwoyb for over an hour only to be told you refused the gesture. #supportourown huh??," Samini tweeted.
Not long after Samini's tweet, Shatta Wale came with a reply saying he was not aware of anything like that.
According to him, Samini's claim was actually coming as news to him because it would have been nice to have them on board.
He thus apologised and thanked Samini for the support.
"Oh ! ,how , this is news to me .. sorry if this was da case ... am very very sorry .. it wld hv bn nice !!! thnx for da support #TheReigAlbum," Shatta wrote.
However, Stonebwoy has also responded to Shatta Wale's apology describing it as fake.
According to him, Shatta Wale intentionally refused to allow them to appear at the concert because he was feeling insecure and but has come on social media to lie that he was not aware.
"Surprise Support is Way Better Than. A Fake Twit. But For INSECURITY Problems !! You Refused To Take advantage of The Opportunity.Would You Have Asked The Crowed if you Weren’t AWARE. Why Lie? Feel Free Come On We Knew You Will Refuse Us Anyway. #ATTWC27Oct Come See," Stonebwoy wrote.
Shatta Wale is yet to respond to Stonebwoy's tweet but it definitely means things are not so cool between them.
The launch of Shatta Wale’s latest album, 'Reign' came with a lot of surprises that only the dancehall musician can explain.
