Yvonne Nelson blasts Gabby Otchere-Darko over entertainment and economy

YEN.com.gh recently carried a story of some Ghanaian women who could become president in the near future and it featured Yvonne Nelson. This is because the actress is never afraid to delve into the world of politics.

Actress Yvonne Nelson has once again shared her thoughts on the current political and economic situation in the country lamenting the neglect of the public by politicians.

The actress, who featured in YEN.com.gh's list of women who could potentially lead Ghana in the near future, made her thoughts known in tweets, one targeting influential government advisor, Gabby Otchere-Darko.

According to Nelson, "people in high places just don't know our struggles. It's unbelievable."

What started as a push-back against Otchere-Darko's castigation of the entertainment industry, was turned into a complete attack on the current political and economic structures which exist for Ghanaians.

For Nelson, things as they exist do not offer proper opportunities to younger people.

It would seem that the actress was not happy when the government advisor said the Ghanaian entertainment industry could not help as much our economy as Hollywood does for the United States.

This would not be first time Yvonne Nelson has challenged people in power on their positions regarding issues.

She even led a demonstration against former President John Mahama's administration on its inability to solve the power crisis of some years ago.
