Aggrieved uniCredit customer ‘relocates’ to banking hall during working hours

Aggrieved uniCredit customer ‘relocates’ to banking hall during working hours has sighted a video of an aggrieved customer packing his bags, bed, and other personal belongings into a banking hall.

Our checks reveal that the banking hall is that of uniCredit, Apenkwa Branch, near Achimota, Accra.

In the video, the man is captured paying the taxi driver who had just dropped him off at the bank’s premises.

He then brought out his bag, a pillow, what looks like a blanket, and polythene bag in his hand while the driver helped him carry his mattress.

Just when those around might be wondering where the man was going to with all those belongings, he opened the banking hall, entered and sent his belongings straight into the manager’s office.

He then laid his bed on the floor of the banking hall while other customers had gone to bank, and slept on it.

As if that was not enough, he went into the manager’s office, brought out a rubber bag which contained his shoes, and displayed them on the counter.

All this while, the security man sat at the gate of the banking hall, and never made any move.

Perhaps, he was restraining himself from a possible attack, so that the case of Midland Savings and Loans, where a policeman on guard beat a woman who had gone to withdraw her money, will not reoccur.

In Ghana now, it seems the banks and other financial institutions cannot be trusted following the collapse of five banks.

The banks included Beige Capital, Sovereign Bank, Royal, Unibank (a subsidiary of uniCredit), and Construction Bank, which have now been turned into the Consolidated Bank.

It is not news, also, that Menzgold Ghana Limited is facing serious troubles with clients after the company was closed down by the BoG and SEC in September.

While some of the customers have blamed Akufo-Addo for Menzgold’s woes, others believe Nana Appiah Mensah, the CEO, was not being honest with Ghanaians.
