I went to chase cash to feed my family - Normalization C’ttee Latecomer replies critics

The embattled member of the Normalisation Committee who insulted a journalist during a presser has finally explained to the public why he was late for the function.

Speaking on Accra-based Asempa FM, Lawyer Duah Adonteng said he was casing other duties that will pay his bills.

According to him, he is sacrificing his services for the committee since they are not being paid and therefore had to respond to an urgent business matter to take care of the upkeep of his family.

Some of you don’t know the burden on some of us. You know we are not being paid for this Normalization job so when a job comes in the middle of an NC meeting, I’ll have to go for that to feed my family,” he stated.

A freelance journalist Ekow Asmah on Wednesday why queried why a member of the committee arrived an hour late for the presser.

This provoked Mr. Adonteng who hurled insults at the journalist describing his claims as stupid and useless.

Meanwhile, the Normalisation Committee on Thursday issued an apology to members of the media over the foul exchanges that ensued between the journalist and a member of the committee.

The 4-member committee has been working forabout a month, after being tasked by FIFA to assume the day to day running of the Ghana Football Association among other things.
