Faces of Ghana: The teacher who is revolutionizing education in Ghana

-This week on faces of Ghana, YEN.com.gh TV features a Ghanaian teacher who has her own way of making education attractive.

-She does this by teaching each of her pupils a unique greeting move.

-She caught the attention of many Ghanaians when a video of her exchanging the special handshake with her kids went viral on social media.

Madina Adutwumwaa Asare, affectionately called Teacher Ama by her pupils is a sandwich student of the University of Education, Winneba.

The 22 year old says teaching has always been her passion and she loves children.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported of how she won the admiration of many Ghanaians through a video which went viral on social media.

In the video, she was seen exchanging her special greeting moves with her students.

Speaking on Faces of Ghana, she intimated that she got the idea from a white lady in a video the Headteacher of her school showed her.

She studies the white lady's moves and modified it by adding on which she eventually taught her kids.

She hinted that it took three days to teach the kids numbering about 31 the moves.

What has marveled many is how she manages to recall each and every student's moves.

Her practice comes at a time where there are several interventions across the globe to promote equal access to education by all.

Teacher Ama's advice to her kids is that they should always uphold the values of society.

Her school, Diamond State Academy is situated at Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional Capital of Ghana.
