Bridget Otoo condemns Wendy Shay for using Ebony's death to promote her music

- A former news presenter with TV3, Bridget Otoo, has warned Wendy Shay to desist from riding on Ebony’s death to promote her career

- This follows reports that a viral audio that purported to catch Wendy Shay and Bullet in bed was a publicity stunt aimed at promoting Wendy Shay's music

A former news presenter with TV3, Bridget Otoo, has given a stern warning to Wendy Shay to desist from promoting herself and music with the death of Ebony Reigns.

Bridget said in a Twitter sighted by YEN.com.gh on Friday that Wendy Shay was riding on the “painful death” of Ebony to promote her career, adding that the move was unfortunate.

She went on to inform Wendy Shay that she would not longer support her music, saying “you just lost a fan”.

Bridget Otoo’s comments come on the heel of fake reports that went viral online that Wendy Shay had been caught in bed with her manager, Bullet.

In that report, a voice said to be that of Bullet’s girlfriend, was heard screaming that, “it was the same way I caught you in bed with Ebony and now Wendy Shay…”

Apparently, the audio recording was said to have been arranged by Wendy as a stunt to direct attention of the public to her new song ‘The boy is mine’, which was set to be released.

However, Bridget felt that strategy dishonoured the memory of the late Ebony Reigns, and cautioned Wendy Shay to end such conduct.

To her, Ebony's death is a sensitive one which must not be joked with, hence, her 'fight' with Wendy Shay.

She said although she had been a fan of Wendy and had always stood against people who denigrated with claims that she was copying the late Ebony Reigns, she disagreed strongly with her for misusing Ebony’s death.

Wendy Shay has since dropped ‘The boy is mine’ song.

It comes after she released hits such as ‘Uber Driver’, ‘Astalavista’, ‘Bedroom Commando’, and ‘Psalm 35’.
