A German national currently finds himself in serious trouble with the police after allegedly stabbing a man who tried to steal from him.
The incident is reported to have happened on Friday during a street carnival at Akropong in the Eastern Region.
The German is believed to be student who is in Ghana with some other foreign nationals for voluntary service.
According to a report by Accra-based Starr FM, the suspect, accompanied by three female German colleagues and two Ghanaians, went for merrymaking at the Akropong Odwira street festival on Friday.
However, his group was allegedly confronted by a gang, who tried to rob them at the street carnival.
This led to a serious scuffle, during which one of the alleged robbers was stabbed in the process.
The victim, identified as Adam Yakubu, was later pronounced dead upon arrival at the Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Hospital.
Reports suggest that the incident angered the other gang members of the deceased who mobilised themselves to lynch the suspect and his friends.
The group reportedly pulled out knives, sticks and clubs in an attempt to lynch the suspect and his friends, however, the police were on hand to rescue the situation.
The German national and his friends were then escorted to the police station for investigations to begin on the matter.
