Residents of Ablekuma in Accra claim that the ghost of a woman who was murdered by her husband at Ablekuma in Accra has written a letter to him.
Six weeks ago the remains of one sister Adwoa was found at Ablekuma-Block factory after her husband allegedly butchered her due to an alleged cheating in their marriage.
The husband, Yaw Mensah, was arrested and subsequently sentenced to life imprisonment.
After Adwoa's death, tenants in the house in which the incident took place have been complaining of some scary events happening ever since the lady passed on.
Narrating the whole incident in an interview with Entamoty, a co-tenant of the deceased who identified herself as Afriyie, they woke up on the fateful day to realise that though it was Adwoa's turn to sweep the compound, she had not swept.
When they checked on her, they found blood in front of her room. After breaking into the room, they realised that Adwoa had been butchered in the room and they rushed her to the hospital where she gave up the ghost.
Since that time, Afriyie continued, strange things have been happening and it became even serious when they began hearing someone banging on a door in the house between 12 midnight to 2 am.
Some even had claimed to have sighted the ghost of Adwoa in the house and had rushed into their rooms after seeing her.
Just a few days ago, on the occasion of Adwoa's 40-day celebration, they chanced on a white sheet lying in front of what would have been
Upon approaching it they realised there was an inscription on it that looked familiar. They said they took the letter and to their wildest imagination, the ghost had written a letter with her name on it.
According to them, Adwoa, in the said letter, thanked one of the tenants in the house, Gina, for trying to save her life (Gina was the one who took her to the hospital after seeing her in a pool of blood in her room).
The residents said the ghost told Gina that she would repay her for what she did and that she should look forward to seeing her in a dream.
They said the ghost also extended greetings to her husband who ended her life, saying that he would soon join her at where she was.
The residents claim that, in the letter, the ghost admitted being behind the strange things happening in the house and later assured them that all that would end once her time was up to leave the earth.
They residents said they sent the letter to the late Adwoa’s family members who later confirmed that those are the exact handwriting of their late daughter.
