Top 4 Ghanaian celebrities react to KNUST riot

Aggrieved students of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) went on rampage last Monday, October 22, as they destroyed school properties.

The students as part of the riots burnt car tyres, destroyed windows and doors of some buildings and blocked some roads on campus to prevent cars from moving.

This came unfortunate incident was fueled after a third-year student of the school was brutalised by the school’s security on Friday night.

However, some Ghanaians celebrities namely, Joselyn Dumas, Mr. Eazi, DKB and Shatta Wale took to their twitter handle to comment on the issue:

1. Joselyn took a swipe at the school authorities and calmed the nerves of the students.

2. Shatta Wale backed the students

3. Mr. Eazi also called for calm

4. DKB also tweeted on the issue.

Due to the current happenings, the school has been closed down indefinitely.

YEN.com.gh, had earlier reported that due to the riot at KNUST over 20 students have been arrested.

During the unfortunate incident a journalist was severely beaten by private security personnel of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and had his camera seized.
