YEN.com.gh has sighted a video of popular highlife musician Okomfuo Kwaade threatening to vent his anger on a radio presenter who was interviewing him.
The two were discussing Kwadee’s exploits in the music industry in a studio, but it appeared Kwadee didn’t like the turn which the conversation was taking, and so became angry.
According to the ‘Ka wo nan to so’ hitmaker, the Ghana music industry has failed to recognize his hardwork and contribution towards the growth of the industry.

He noted that since he started music way back in the early 2000s, he has not received even a single award much to his displeasure, and blamed Chatter House, the organizers of Ghana Music Awards, for what he indicated as discrimination on their part.
Kwadee mentioned Shatta Wale and said Wale is popular because of the many awards he has received, and added that if he Kwadee has also been given awards, he would have been more popular and maintained his relevance in the industry.
Just then Kwadee said angrily: “I have every right to speak my mind”, to which the presenter responded “Speak your mind.”
But Kwadee became furious with the presenter for his response, stressing in Twi: “Are you the one to tell me to speak my mind?”
According to Kwadee, the many people who claim to support him are fake (including the host), therefore, he does not need him to encourage him to speak his mind.
He then mentioned the late Ebony Reigns, Castro, and Terry Bonchaka, questioning that “where are all of them?”
Kwadee then added: “I have not just come to entertainment Ghanaians for nothing”, indicating his desire to be awarded for his hardwork.
Okomfuo Kwadee is one of Ghana’s popular highlife artistes who took the industry by storm in the early 2000s.
He is noted for hit songs such as “Ahwedie Abena’, ‘Ka Wo Nan Toso’, ‘Yeeko Emaa Pe’, and many others.
He was reported to be mentally unstable some years ago, which led to his exiting the industry to be taken care of by his family.
In an earlier report by YEN.com.gh, Kwadee was said to have been abandoned by his family and was living in a rehab center for many years.
However, it was later gathered that he was living with the lady who owned the rehab center in her house.
Komfuo Kwadee also expressed his desire to be signed onto the Zylofon Media to join the likes of Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, and Akoo Nana, but his desire is yet to be achieved.
