- Robbers have attacked a police armoury in the Northern Region

A group of armed robbers has reportedly broken into a police armoury in the Northern Regional town of Daboya.
The robbers, YEN.com.gh gathered, have made away with an unspecified number of weapons including AK47s.
According to a report sighted on Kasapafmonline.com, a police officer who was supposed to have been on duty on Saturday when the incident happened has been interdicted while investigations continues.
It is believed the policeman on duty left his post giving access to the armed robbers to break into the armory.
Other information suggest this is not the first time police properties have been stolen, as a year ago motorbikes belonging to police officers were stolen from the barracks.
Meanwhile, a police chief inspector of police has been found dead in her room under circumstances which have been described as "mysterious".
According to sources, Chief Inspector Victoria Peprah was found by one Richard Ofori who lived with the victim in the same house in Baatsona.
According to Ofori, who had not seen the policewoman for a while, a pungent smell started emanating from the chief inspector's room and he decided to verify. He saw flies all over the room and suspected that something was wrong.
He therefore lodged a complaint with the police who visited the visited the room and found the deceased's body decomposing.
In other news, YEN.com.gh earlier reported that residents of Ablekuma in Accra claim that the ghost of a woman who was murdered by her husband has written a letter to him.
