Man ignorantly buys fake mobile phone made with tiles for GH₵200 at Circle (video) has sighted a video on social media which contains a fake Tecno mobile phone made with tiles.

The phone was reportedly sold to a man at the price of GH₵200, according to the narrator in the video.

A young man who stood by the narrator, suspected to be the buyer of the fake phone stood aloof and looked very angry obviously because he had been outsmarted by whoever sold the phone to him.

The guy’s demeanour could also be as a result of him wasting his money to buy such a fake phone.

He might have bought the fake phone in the evening and returned to Circle to look for the one who sold the phone to him, however, whoever knows Accra very well and is also aware of the dealings at Nkrumah Circle, knows that it is almost impossible to find such a seller.

In the video, the supposed Tecno phone has been housed with a cover, and when the cover was flipped opened, it was observed that there were only tiles inside it, not a mobile phone.

The back of the phone cover has also been designed in a way that one would not suspect that it contained anything other than a mobile phone.

The narrator, also a phone vendor at Circle, heaped praises on whoever built that fake phone saying in the Twi language: “He has done the job very well”.

The Kwame Nkrumah Circle, one of Accra’s largest trading center, is noted for inhabiting criminals who indulge in such dealings.

In an earlier report by, plywood was sold to an unsuspecting buyer as plasma TV at Circle.

The place is widely reported to be a haven for thieves who dupe unsuspecting buyers and rob commuters of their valuable belongings.
