The fans, according to a video seen by YEN.com.gh, were chanting Sarkodie’s name, beckoning him to perform his ‘diss’ song to Shatta Wale, ‘Advice’.

However, the musician clearly turned a deaf ear to their pleas and totally refused to perform that song

His gesture surprised many people who were wondering why Sarkodie would fail to perform ‘Advice’ even when he was being called on by fans to do so.

While YEN.com.gh cannot say exactly why Sarkodie ignored the fans to perform ‘Advice’ on a Stonebwoy’s stage, it could be that he did not want to spark controversies.

It is a known fact that Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale are arch rivals, therefore, if Sarkodie had performed his ‘diss’ song to Shatta Wale on that stage, it would have suggested that he had taken sides with Stonebwoy against Shatta Wale.

Shatta Wale and Sarkodie had been good friends until recently, when they were rocked with various controversies.

The whole thing started when Shatta Wale accused Sarkodie of not respecting him enough.

According to Shatta Wale, when he collaborated with Sarkodie on his ‘Megye wo girl’, Sarkodie refused to shoot a video for that song even though it was a hit and the dancehall artiste constantly begged Sarkodie to do so.

However, Shatta Wale said he was disappointed that Sarkodie was in a hurry to shoot a video with Nigeria’s Patoranking for their ‘No Kissing’ song.

The act, according to Shatta Wale, showed that Sakordie did not respect him and did not want to have him in his video.

Following this and other accusations, Sarkodie decided to ‘Advice’ Shatta Wale with that ‘diss’ song.

In the song, Sarkodie called Shatta Wale names such as being a fool who was only interested in attacking others unnecessarily and tearing them down.

He also sang that despite his boasting, Shatta Wale could not afford to buy a brand new car.

He further cautioned Shatta Wale to be wary of his dealings in the industry because his relevance in the music industry would fade soon.

In a related development, Shatta Wale has revealed the meaning of his name ‘Wale’ to mean “World Acclaimed Lyrical Entertainer”.

He had earlier explained that Shatta means “Serious Hustlers Always Trust The Almighty”.
