- Pope Skinny says he hailed Sarkodie’s ‘Advice’ against Shatta Wale because he is huge fan of rap music
- He said he tweeted the song purposely to hype Sarkodie and the music, not necessarily against Shatta Wale
- Shatta Wale said by so doing, Pope Skinny has violated the laws of the Shatta Movement (SM) and will pay for it
Shatta Wale’s close friend and colleague, Pope Skinny, who is also a member of the Shatta Movement (SM), has disclosed his reason for reportedly hailing Sarkodie’s ‘Advice’ ‘diss’ song against Shatta Wale.
Sarkodie had released that song to attack Shatta Wale and also call him names, but Pope Skinny tweeted in support of Sarkodie and the song, leaving many people, especially the SM fans calling him a traitor.
Pope Skinny tweeted: “This is real rap King Sark!”
But now, Pope Skinny has finally confessed to why he made that unpopular tweet.
According to him, it was in a bid to hype Sarkodie and his rap prowess because he Pope Skinny is a huge fan of rap.
Pope Skinny said he did not listened to the full song, but just the first two lines and was blown away by Sarkodie’s excellence display, according to a report sighted by YEN.com.gh on Myjoyonline.com
He added that since he is a huge fan and promoter of Rap music, he tweeted about it to just hype and praise Sarkodie for the masterpiece.
However, the SM fans have registered their displeasure with Pope Skinny, and called on Shatta Wale to stop associating with him.
Shatta Wale himself spoke on the matter, disclosing how disappointed he was in Pope Skinny.
In a related development, Shatta Wale has revealed the meaning of his name Wale, which means “World Acclaimed Lyrical Entertainer”.
He also earlier explained Shatta to mean “Serious Hustlers Always Trust The Almighty”.
