Top movie stars, musicians and other famous individuals in show business are known to struggle with finding love. For whatever reason, these beloved people usually do not find long lasting love and this phenomenon is worldwide.
Whether it is among themselves or even with other less famous people, celebrities tend to have a more difficult job making a good choice once and for all.
In Ghana, the list is quite long on those who have not been successful with love. A few who could be mentioned are Yvonne Nelson, Jackie Appiah and Chris Attoh.
Celebrities are humans and they will feel the same emotions any of us would too. Yet, their fans expect them to be perfect.
YEN.com.gh lists four reasons why celebrities are felt to struggle with love.
1. The demands of show business
To paraphrase an American movie producer, one-time success is pure luck until it can be repeated. Actors, musicians, writers and others want more of the glory and of course, the money.
In such situations, other relationships tend to be sacrificed on the altar of getting "big". Love that could be nourished is left to fall off and die.
2. The ego
It is difficult to ask someone not to be affected by success. When hundreds of thousands are cheering them on these streets, at the shows and on social media, celebrities grow bigger egos.
As such relationships that should be forged on compromise and fellow-feeling become a bit hard for famous people. They have become used to ever-ready adoration that they take one for granted.
3. The media inquisition
The media can sometimes cause celebrity relationships to fall. This is perhaps the most indubitable point on this list.
Out of what may be journalistic professionalism or sheer agenda-setting, the media can stoke the fires around a celebrity love affair. Those who cannot handle it give up on their relationships.
4. Some love for the attention
There are rumours that some very famous people use their relationships as marketing points for their music, movies and another marketable good.
Such relationships are fantasies that public relations company encourage for the mutual benefit of the partners.
