Asamoah Gyan scores one and assists two in Kayserispor win (VIDEO)

A man in the news, Ghana forward Asamoah Gyan, scored once and assisted another two as Kayserispor saw off Pazarspor by six goals to one in the Turkish Cup on Wednesday.

Gyan put in a good performance on his first start of the season for his Turkish club Kayserispor, thereby repaying the confidence posed in him in the absence of Turkey veteran Umut Bulut.

The Ghana captain warmed the bench in his side's 2-0 win over Sivasspor on Sunday but opened the floodgate for the side with a fine finish in the 14th minute of the game.

Gyan will be hoping to put the public focus on his football but he is not a man who has done that successfully over the years.

YEN.com.gh reported that the country's highest ever goalscorer has filed for a divorce from his wife, Gifty Gyan, at the Divorce and Matrimonial Division of the High Court, Accra.

News about their pending divorce has gone viral with Gyan’s request for paternity tests discussed on social media. Gyan and his wife have lived quietly together until the reports broke.

The reports indicate that the striker has endured a cold relationship lately and he feels the best way to end it is to divorce his wife whom he has been with for 15 years.

Apart from the divorce, Gyan is also demanding DNA tests to be carried out on all their three children to ascertain their paternity.
