YEN.com.gh has sighted a video of musician Wendy Shay describing a question asked by a Joy FM presenter as ‘dumb’.
In the video which is available on Joy FM’s Facebook page, Wendy Shay was asked some questions, including about her alleged sexual relationship with her boss, Bullet.
In media reports a few weeks ago, Wendy Shay was said to have been caught in bed with Bullet by his girlfriend.
In an audio recording that trended on social media for some time, the girlfriend was heard accusing Bullet of cheating on her again with Wendy after she had already caught her cheating with the late Ebony.
Eventually, it turned out to be that that audio recording was intentionally made up by Wendy Shay and Bullet to create a public stunt ahead of the released of her new song ‘The boy is mine’.
YEN.com.gh even published a report of TV presenter Bridget Otoo condemning Wendy Shay for going that far all in the name of public stunt.
Bridge Otoo said Wendy Shay was riding on the name of the late Ebony for fame, describing it as unfortunate and dishonoring of the dead.
But Wendy Shay, declining to comment on that issue, told the presenter that she had moved on from that incident, therefore, she did not want to make further comments on it.
Wendy Shay then said that she expected Ghanaians to forget about that incident and focus on her and her music.
“I have moved on from that, we are doing good songs now and I want Ghanaians to focus on that and accept me just as I am, as Wendy Shay,” she said.
Then the presenter asked her, “Who is Wendy Shay?”
But the question did not go down well with the ‘Uber Driver’ singer and she showed by her reaction that she was very offended, and asked that the interview be stopped.
“This is like the dumbest question I have heard, who is Wendy Shay? Can we cut this interview? I don’t want to do it anymore,” Wendy Shay said and walked out on the presenter.
While YEN.com.gh cannot say exactly why Wendy felt offended and decided to walk out, some on social media have said that she felt belittled by that question.
To them, Wendy Shay feels she has made a big name enough to be known by at least the majority of Ghanaians, therefore, that question was asked with the primary aim of the presenter to embarrass her.
